MONOMYTH
The story
The Monomyth baptism collection was crafted by Vivi Daskalaki in 2018. With a mission to produce handmade baptismal apparel using premium fabrics, the brand sought to showcase its unique designs and craftsmanship to a wider audience. To bring this vision to life, Vivi Daskalaki enlisted our expertise in creating a handmade clothing brand from inception.

The name
After extensive research to find a name that truly embodied the essence of the brand, we unanimously selected ‘Monomyth.’ This term originates from the archetype of a hero’s journey, where they embark on an adventure, face challenges, and ultimately return transformed into an improved version of themselves. By associating this myth with the creator’s personal journey from a professional background in physics to the creation of her own baptismal collection, ‘Monomyth’ felt like the perfect fit. Additionally, the term can be interpreted as ‘mono-myth,’ signifying that each clothing piece crafted tells a unique story of a child’s baptism.
The logotype and visual identity
While creating the brand, we knew that the visual identity must be simple, ‘quiet’ and elegant. For the logo we chose a lower case font that is delicate, subtle and clean. Additionally, we created the clothing tags that are on top of each garment and the business cards. The clothing tags are separated in two pale colours: pink for the girls’ clothes and blue for the boys’.
