Nikolaou Winery has been dedicated to wine production since 1948. With 72 years of expertise under their belt, the family decided that it was time to reposition themselves in the wine market. They sought to communicate their values, showcase the diversity of their products and highlight the quality of their offerings to a wider audience. They came to our office to discuss their vision and explore potential solutions.
The logotype and the visual identity
Rebranding was essential for the company to effectively communicate their values and their product quality to the audience. We initiated the process by redesigning the logo and the brand identity, giving a modern touch. Our first step was designing a badge featuring the capital “N” from the family name “Nikolaou” drawing inspiration from the panoramic view of the vineyards. We opted for a bronze colour to convey an attractive and high-quality brand image. We proceeded with the design of the visual identity, creating a clear image and tapping into the winery’s history and the product series.
The label design
We redesigned the labels based on a clean and modern aesthetic to convey a sense of quality and everyday appeal. For a product line entirely named after women, we developed geometric illustrations to strengthen the sense of continuity across the labels. These illustrations not only add visual interest but also create a cohesive and unified identity for the entire product line, reinforcing the connection between each label.
