The story
In continuance to our collaboration with Elephant Design Architecture, its’ founders, Eleni Sfantou and Panos Alexiou, wanted to create a curatorial online space in which creativity, expressiveness and partnerships between artists would prevail. They asked us to create a brand and a suitable website. A little while later, Slice Of Life was born (or SOL for short).

What is slice of life
It is a dynamic creative community, where artists that work on different kinds of art co-exist, communicate and express freely. A space that functions as a connection platform and features modern creativity through collaborations, shows and artistic initiatives. Slice of life is not confined by a single aspect of art, but on the contrary, it embraces all the different aspects of it and encourages conversation amongst ideas, forms and people.
The name
The name Slice Of Life imprints the philosophy of the brand: small parts of everyday life that become meaningful through the perspective of art. “Slice” works as a look through reality, whilst “Life” shares the feeling of an vivid, authentic experience. The short form “SOL” indicates a more modern, immediate identity, making it easier to use the brand name in different environments.
The logo and the brand Identity
The visual identity of Slice Of Life is based on the meaning of polymorphism and constant evolvement. The logo keeps a strong and easy going character, allowing its adjustment through multiple art contexts, while at the same time works as a canvas of expression, through the switch of the letters in the logo. We made sure to place the brands’ identity as a whole between the creative and the liberating aspects, combining typography with expressive suits.
Website Design
The design of the website follows the logic of a digital platform that showcases types of content and its creators. Emphasis was given on the artsy, UX side, so that the art pieces would be at the center of attention, without any unnecessary distractions. The structure is flexible, allowing for easy integration of new content and actions, while the user experience remaining direct, as is the philosophy of Slice Of Life itself.
